Heartwarming, hot and left me waiting for more. I can not say enough about the Darkness Within series by Jennifer Turner. If you are looking for a good paranormal romance, that has a good amount of urban fantasy elements to keep it from being sugary sweet I highly recommend this series. The author even has the 1st three chapters of the 1st book available to read for free on her website so you have a chance to see if it is your cup of tea before you buy the books. I love writers who do that. So often I've purchased a book that by chapter three I've given it up for the maybe 1 day when I'm desperate pile. This series I devoured in 2 days! Book 3 and 4 are coming soon and I can't wait to pick them up as well.
FYI these heroines, you don't want to smack or call to bitchy or pathetic. Turner gives us strong, likable female leads that you can see becoming friends with if they were real people.
