Retribution by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
While I adored Jess and Abby I couldn't help but feel this book got to bogged down in Native American folk lore. While Native American folk lore is great, the Dark Hunter books have always been more about the Gods and Goddess of ole (especially Greece) so tossing in a new pantheon to try and keep up with just seemed like to much. I'm sad to say other than reading Fantasy Lover (the pre-DH book) I am more than likely done reading the Dark Hunter novels. These books have lost the draw, there is less Ash, who is and always has been the big DH who has now been knocked down to being mentioned maybe once or twice a book. The pantheon changes that make it hard to keep up with. Nick has gone from lovable to blah (sadly I kinda wish he had just died a few books back at the point) And lastly there are so many characters to follow at this point I feel like I need a note pad to keep up with them all.
